Experience and Skills
Georgina practices as a Person-Centred Counsellor. She has particular experience with bereavement and loss but works with people from all demographics and a diverse range of presenting issues. She is a registered member of the BACP.
Sessions can take the form of straightforward talking or she will work with you through non-verbal mediums, such as drawing or painting, to explore your experience. She works in a trauma informed way and has experience working with traumatic bereavement.
She has an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Keele and completed her student placement at Treetops Hospice in Derbyshire. For her dissertation she conducted original research about the affect of sexual abuse on subsequent sexual experience. Previous to her psychotherapy training she was a full-time competitive swimmer and therefore has a special interest in helping athletes navigate their relationship with their sport.
