Women's health physiotherapy is a specialist area that focuses on female health. It involves the assessment and treatment of disorders affecting the breasts, pelvis and pelvic floor muscles.


What conditions can be treated?

- Bladder or bowel incontinence
- Vaginal prolapse
- Vulval pain and/or pain on intimacy
- Breast cancer care – rehabilitation following treatment and can address concerns such as shoulder stiffness,
scar tissue restrictions and cording
- Pelvic surgery – rehabilitation following pelvic surgery such as hysterectomy, pelvic floor repairs and
caesarean sections
- Pregnancy related low back, rib or pelvic pain (known as SPD or PGP)
- Post-natal concerns – incontinence, prolapse or pelvic floor and tummy muscle weakness.
