Experience and Skills
I am an experienced, HCPC registered, Clinical Psychologist with over 16 years’ experience working in the NHS as a qualified psychologist. In this time, I have supported individuals, families, young people, and staff teams in various settings. This includes community and inpatient mental health services, and within paediatrics and neonatal care, in both London and the West Midlands. I have worked therapeutically with a range of emotional difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, PTSD, birth trauma, and adjustment to health conditions.
None of us are immune to psychological suffering; it is an inevitable challenge that we will face in life. I see my role as supporting others to recognise, understand and manage difficult feelings and experiences, through implementing researched psychological approaches. I am driven to establish a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where you can trust that I am committed to working in a non-judgemental, empathic, and compassionate manner.
It is important that I tailor my approach to your needs and preferences. I draw flexibly upon several psychological models to ensure a good therapeutic fit is achieved. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I am currently working with adults in my private practice. If you are interested in embarking on therapy with me, or you have any questions, please do email me and we can arrange a free, confidential telephone or video consultation to discuss further.
